[Post-Event] ITCamp Winter Community Event (Cluj-Napoca), December 9, 2016

At the end of this month we had the ITCamp Community Event . This was the last event for this year, so we decided to do something special. In comparison with our past events, we tried to focus more on devices and hardware. We even managed to have a session where HoloLences were presented live - such a cool and interesting presentation. The event was fully sponsored by Endava . A big thank you for them. Without local IT companies, we wouldn't be able to organize this events. There were more than 80 people that participate at the event. I'm happy to meet people that are interested to find out more about new technologies and trends. Nowadays staying up to date with all the new technologies and trends is hard and time consuming. This is way I'm such a big fun of this kind of meetings. The community event had 3 speakers that talk about System Development, Raspberry PI and Azure IoT and HoloLences. You can find more about each session below: Systems Development in a Chang...

[Post Event] ITCamp Summer Community Event, August 18 - Cluj-Napoca

In August 18, 2016 we had IT Camp Summer Community Event in Cluj-Napoca. There were more than 55 people that attended to this event. In comparison with past events, we dedicated more time for networking between the sessions and at the end of the event. There were two session in the afternnon. The first one was about .NET Security (including .NET Core) and the seccond one was about how we can write actor based concurrency using Elixir. Personally I discover a new word that Elixir has and is available for more than 30 years in Erland world. Seeing a system that has availability with 8 nines (99.99999) is something impressive, but thinking that such a system was availalbe 25 years ago is more impressive. As usualy a big THANK YOU to all attendies and people that were involved behind the scene. And another THANK YOU to our sponsors that made this event possible : You can find below the abstract to sessions and the slides from each of them. At the end of the post you can f...

[Post Event] ITCamp 2016, Cluj-Napoca

The 6th edition of ITCamp conference took place in Cluj-Napoca at the end of this week. For 2 days, more than 600 people were connected to the latest software development and devops trends. More than 40 speakers had offered high quality content to ITCamp attends. Having 5 tracks in parallel is awesome, but sometimes is so hard to decide to what session to attend. There were a lot of interesting topics that were presented and discussed during this two days. From Security and Development Best Practices, to .NET Core, Cloud and IoT. I really felt that IoT era already started during the sessions where many speakers had with them different smart devices that can improve our life. The second day of ITCamp brought for the first time in Cluj-Napoca and Romania Microsoft HoloLens. This glasses are like the one from Start Trek that not only creates a virtual reality like other devices on the market, but offers to the user an augmentative reality. I had the opportunity to test them and it...
